How to read my smart meter?
- If you have an electricity single rate smart meter, the display will automatically show the reading.
- If you have an electricity dual rate smart meter, press and release the blue display button and this will show Rate 2.
- For gas smart meters, press and hold the red button A for 5-10 seconds. This will then display ‘Credit ON’. Press and release button A, and the meter will display the reading.
Why aren't you getting readings from my smart meter?
- Sometimes we have trouble getting your meter readings due to temporary issues, such as signal problems or technical issues. However if it is continuing then it could be because you have an older type smart meter or due to signal issues in your area. If it is because of an older smart meter then we will be in touch to get it replaced.
- When your supply moves over to Maxen Power, we can temporarily lose connectivity with your smart meter. This connection is re-established within a few weeks of your switch but sometimes this could mean you get an estimated bill from us.
